So....

We went to see BIG FISH tonight, and now were going to Casadega this weekend to find out where the road leads us.

The movie was just as good as I could have imagined.

I laughed, I cried, and I thought too deeply after watching that silly moment where time stood still for the guy as he saw the woman he was going to marry.

I haven't felt that way since....

Well since Toledo....

*^*^*^*^*^*

Not since Colorado....

**^**^**^**^**^**

Toledo it was unexpected.

I walked into the two-story house in the college campus neighborhood.

We walked through the front door and he was sitting by the fireplace.

The room smelled like dust, incense, and bottled beer.

He stood up when he saw me and walked over to introduce himself.

I think my sister may have been talking to me, but I'm not really sure?...

The air seemed thick and heavy. It was hard to breathe....

Time seemed to stand still all around me. It was as if my ears were numb and the only thing I could hear was his voice as he said, "Hi, I'm Zach!"

I was light headed and replied, "Hi, I'm Zach."

I caught myself, and said, "Um, I'm Kell"

There is no reason why my ears should have been so numb. The room was crowded with college kids drinking, and waiting for us to show up so we could climb into our cars and head to the casino.....

The moment in the house stood still, while I spent the rest of the night just trying to catch up and understand the "moment".

Still now, when I think of the moment, I smile.

And he's called me Kell ever since.....

*^*^*^*^*^*^*

In Colorado it was much different. I don't actually remember ALL of the details....

I don't even remember the introduction. I was completely numb to the whole experience.

I just remember sitting on the couch talking music, movies, size 5 soccer balls, art, writing and philosophy....

There were a series of "moments".

I still have the picture that captured the big one.

We called it the money shot. I haven't actually taken the picture out to look at it since the summer when we first met.

His name was Ben.

The fact that it has happened more than once in the past gives me faith that it could someday happen again.

Its getting late. The bottom line is BIG FISH was great!

Id go see it again if I wasnt so sure Id cry again.
