Today a pile of work suddenly showed up on my desk.
My boss fired Chris this morning and it turns out that I'm going to have to take over the work he has been doing, and the other jobs he has been avoiding for months.
I stayed late tonight but didn't put a dent in the list of things I need to finish by the end of the week.
I'm going to need a miracle to get all this work done in time......
